Port Shore-Power & Distribution — Burgas Marine Terminal

Shore-power pedestals, HV cable distribution, and cold-ironing infrastructure for a Burgas Black Sea marine terminal.

2024Year
MIG designed and installed the electrical distribution infrastructure for a new marine terminal at the Port of Burgas, including a 10 kV underground cable ring feeding six quay transformer stations and shore-power distribution pedestals at each berth.
Shore-power (cold-ironing) infrastructure was installed in accordance with IEC/IEEE 80005-1 to allow berthed vessels to switch from diesel generators to grid power, reducing emissions in the port area. The system supports 6.6 kV and 440 V vessel connections with automatic frequency synchronisation.
