HV Mine Supply Substation — Rhodope Mining Operations

Design and construction of a 110/6 kV mine supply substation rated 32 MVA for continuous mining operations in the Rhodope region.

2024Year
MIG built a dedicated 110/6 kV supply substation for a copper mining operation requiring uninterrupted 32 MVA supply for mine dewatering, ore processing, and ventilation systems. The substation includes N+1 transformer redundancy with automatic changeover.
The 6 kV switchgear feeds 11 outgoing feeders to underground drives and surface plant. All equipment was specified for operation at 1500 m altitude with a 50-year design life. MIG managed the complete project from rock-anchor civil foundations through to TSO acceptance tests and energisation.
